Ever since returning to WWE in July, Harry Smith has been conspicuous in his absence having not made another appearance on any show since then.
However, according to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Smith's absence is due to a recent Covid-19 diagnosis and subsequent isolation and recovery.
Smith himself hasn't confirmed a battle with the virus on his own social media pages, but he has indicated that he's looking to make a return to the ring soon, with a recent post on Twitter stating that he'll be back in the ring very soon.

When Did Harry Smith Return To WWE?
The son of WWE Hall of Famer Davey Boy Smith made his return to the company in July 16th in a dark match prior to SmackDown. He teamed up with AustinTheory in a tag-team loss against Xyon Quinn and Odysseey Jones.
After that match he filmed a backstage interview where he announced he we back with WWE after spending a large portion of his time wrestling for other companies, like New Japan Pro Wrestling, but he was never seen since.
It has also been reported that Smith actually re-signed back with WWE in April, but was kept secret for several months. Initial backstage plans allegedly had Smith going to NXT UK to compete there, but the pandemic forced WWE to change course with him.
Smith also went undrafted in the recent 2021 WWE Draft which saw wrestlers from NXT, RAW and SmackDown move around, however the newly returned WWE star was reportedly backstage for both Monday Night RAW in Nashville and SmackDown in Baltimore this week.
PWInsider has subsequently reported that Smith is neither listed interally for RAW or SmackDown, which means that the company clearly have no set plans for Smith on any particular brand, so the wrestler could show up anywhere upon his return.
There's no official indication as to when we might expect to see Harry Smith again, but if the wrestler's tweets are anything to go by it could be sooner rather than later.
