Harry Styles has made a name for himself as a global singing and fashion icon. Fans may wonder, what is the superstar’s blood type?

Harry Styles’ blood type is B positive. His blood type is relatively rare in the United Kingdom, and may correlate to some of his personality traits.

Perhaps the next question is: how do people know Harry’s blood type? The very personal fact has been widely shared online by fans.

Directioners Are Expert Blood Type Detectives

Although Harry Styles has never formally come forward to announce his blood type, his dedicated One Direction fans (called “Directioners”) managed to uncover the little-known fact. His blood type is now plastered all over the internet in posts like this one.

There is no definitive source confirming Harry’s blood type, but the fans seem certain that they are correct. They put together a One Direction blood type Quizlet flash card desk to help them remember the boys’ blood types.

Outsiders to the fandom have questioned this strange blood type knowledge. One observer Tweeted that the fans “took it too far,” while another took to Twitter to argue that the blood types could have all been made up by a fan. The validity of the blood types has never been confirmed, but Directioners swear they are the truth.

The “Directioners” definition on Urban Dictionary even characterizes the fans by their extreme obsession with knowing everything about the boys. The definition pokes fun at Directioners knowing everything about the five singers, including their blood types and times of birth.

Harry’s Blood Type is Rare

Although B Positive is not the most rare blood type, it is relatively uncommon. Only 8.0% of British people have B positive blood. O positive, O negative, and A positive are all more common than B positive in the U.K.

Although Harry’s B positive blood type is statistically less common, two other One Direction members have the same exact blood type! Zayn Malik and Louis Tomilson are also B positive, so maybe their shared blood type explains why the boys instantly clicked and made great music together.
