Is Chrono Trigger actually good?

Chrono Trigger is a fun adventure full of colorful locations and characters with a kind of innocent, anime after school kind of feel to it. The battle system is just complex enough to allow variety and strategy without getting bogged down, and the music is fantastic. That in itself makes it worthwhile in my book.
