Vee tries, unsuccessfully, to kill Red by beating her with a combination lock in a sock. Because it's apparent that Litchfield is grossly mismanaged, all of these assaults are being investigated and Brook Soso finally becomes important. For a good portion of the season, Soso seemed like a useless addition to the cast.

Who kills Vee?

She described Morello offering her freedom as an "especially moving season-ending thrill". She summed up Miss Rosa as being a kind person and branded it all more "gratifying" when she killed Vee. Entertainment Weekly readers voted Miss Rosa killing Vee as the "most shocking moment" of season two.

Did Vee get RJ killed?

It's revealed that RJ wanted to start a business of his own. Vee didn't approve and order the murder of RJ through a shady officer. Taystee was devastated, but Vee lied to her, telling her RJ was carrying a gun and got himself killed.
