Jet Dry® Rinse Aid acts as a surfactant, which lowers the surface tension of the water, causing it to sheet off the dishes during the final rinse. To put it simply, Jet Dry® helps remove water from your dishes faster.
How long does Jet-Dry last?
We recommend a high quality rinse agent such as Cascade® Platinum™ Power Dry™ Rinse Aid or Finish® Jet-Dry® Rinse Aid. The rinse agent dispenser holds 3.5 oz. (104 ml) of rinse agent. Under normal conditions, this will last approximately one month.
How often should you use Jet-Dry?
How often should I use rinse aid in my dishwasher? It depends how often you run your dishwasher, but we would recommend refilling the dispenser with Finish® Jet-Dry® once per month.
How do you use Jet-Dry finish rinse aid?
First, you need to locate the rinse aid dispenser, which is usually a circular chamber near your detergent compartment. Once you’ve found it, fill it up with rinse aid, taking care not to overfill it, and mopping up any spillages. Then, simply add your detergent and run your dishwasher as usual.
Can I use vinegar instead of Jet Dry?
Jet Dry is often rather expensive to use in the dishwasher. Plain white vinegar will also do the job.

You can also use the white vinegar as both a regular dishwasher rinse aid and as a cleaner when your dishwasher needs a good cleanse. Simply fill the detergent dispenser of an empty dishwasher and run it through a cycle. Commercial white vinegar is 5% Acetic Acid C2H4O2.
Do you need to add Jet dry every time?
No, unless your dishwasher is an older machine. There is likely a resevoir on the inside of the door where you would pour the Jet Dry.

The factory setting is at 2 or 3; if you are experiencing drying issues, adjust to the highest setting. If there are rings or calcium (hard water) spots on dishes, try a higher setting.
