The toolbar, also called bar or standard toolbar, is a row of buttons, often near the top of an application window, that controls software functions. The boxes are below the menu bar and often contain images corresponding with the function they control, as demonstrated in the image below.
- right-click the “+” button on the tab bar.
- tap the Alt key to display the classic menu bar: View menu > Toolbars.
- “3-bar” menu button > Customize > Show/Hide Toolbars.
What is toolbar command?
A toolbar is just a collection of icons that provides a shortcut to using the drop-down menu. Toolbars offer quick shortcuts to commonly used commands. The image that appears next to a command on a drop-down menu is usually an indication that this command also exists on a toolbar.
