A fuse switch that keeps tripping is usually caused by a faulty electrical item or an overloaded circuit. Locating the root of the problem is largely a process of elimination and something you can do yourself.
Why does my fuse breaker keep tripping?
If your circuit breaker keeps tripping, it's usually a sign of something wrong with the circuit. There could be a short circuit in one of the appliances or somewhere in the wiring. There could be a ground fault causing the breaker to keep tripping. There could be a circuit overload.
Can a breaker be bad if it keeps tripping?
If you notice that using a specific appliance, such as your vacuum, trips the breaker every time you turn it on, try plugging it into an outlet in a different room. If the breaker for that room trips, there's a short in the appliance. Don't use the appliance again until it can be fixed, or you risk getting a shock.
