D’Angelo Russell is a professional American basketball player for the Los Angels Lakers of the National Basketball Association. He was born on February 23, 1996, in Louisville, Kentucky, U.S., to his parents Antonio Russell Sr. (dad) and Keisha Rowe (mom). He attended Central High School in Louisville, Kentucky in the 2010-11 season. In his sophomore season, he played for Montverde Academy in 2014. He played in the McDonald All-American Game.

Later he played one season colligate football for Ohio State Men’s Basketball team. He was selected in the first round, second overall pick, in the 2015 NBA Draft by Los Angels Lakers. D’Angelo played for several teams of the National Basketball Association such as the Los Angels Lakers (2015-2017), Brooklyn Nets (2017-2019), Golden State Warriors (2019-2020), Minnesota Timberwolves (2020-2023), Los Angels Lakers (2023-present).
