Indiana Jones And The Dial of Destiny has been a long time coming for fans of everyone’s favourite explorer who goes on adventures. The sequel, which takes place in the 1960s, is finally coming to theatres later this year, and we’ve already seen a few sneak peeks. This will be the first movie in the series that wasn’t directed by Steven Spielberg.
Instead, James Mangold (Le Mans ’66, Logan) will be in charge of the fifth and last movie. Spielberg and George Lucas, who helped make the series, will now be in charge of it. Mangold has said that the movie is about “a hero at sunset,” which refers to the fact that Indy is getting older. What else is in store for this fifth and last movie?
Indiana Jones 5 Release Date
Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny will be shown for the first time at the Cannes Film Festival on May 18, 2023. It will then be shown in theatres on June 30, 2023.
This is three years later than what was originally planned. The last movie in the series, “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull,” came out 15 years ago, and “Raiders of the Lost Ark” was the first movie in the series. Production started for real in June 2021, and a picture of Harrison Ford in makeup as Indiana Jones that was taken on set caused quite a stir on social media.
