Hendrik and his early struggles with depression     

On his Instagram, Hendrik has shared some pretty personal issues about his past and his fight with depression during his teenage. 

When he was 17, he had significant psychological problems and had severe depression. 

He shared some pretty dark issues about having suicidal thoughts. 

It has been a long way of therapy, self-improvement, and bravery for Hendrik to reach a stage where he embraces life. 

Even as a social media influencer, he suggests that his followers not compare their lives with people on the internet with their "perfect" lives.  

He is now very positive about life even though we might have difficult days. 

Hendrik, a body positivist 

On September 13, 2020, Hendrik posted a picture of his stretch marks on his body. 

He immensely talks about body positivity in his posts and says humans being are not perfect, and we preaches to accept our "flaws."

Even as model Hendrik says, happiness does not come with a perfect body but with a positive mindset.
