Robin Givens is opening up about her relationship with Brad Pitt like never before. The two dated years before either of them got a break in Hollywood. Although their relationship did not work out, Givens only has fond memories of the Hollywood hunk — whom she claims was a “wonderful person.”
Givens dishes on dating Pitt
Givens is used to being asked about her brief relationship with Brad Pitt but usually remains fairly mum on the topic. The pair met in the 1980s while attending the same acting class and quickly sparked a romance.
At the time, Givens was appearing on the popular show, Head of the Class, while Pitt was still looking for his first big break. The actor kept failing to find work until he landed a small part on Givens’ show.
Brad Pitt’s appearance on Head of the Class is how he met Givens a second time. They immediately recognized each other from class and started dating soon after.
“It’s such a long time ago,” Givens shared. “He was always such a wonderful person.”
Their relationship, of course, did not last long and Pitt went on to date several of his co-stars at the time. This includes Jill Schoelen from Cutting Class and Juliette Lewis from Too Young to Die?
What happened after Robin Givens and Brad Pitt separated?
After Givens and Pitt called it quits, they basically went their separate ways. According to Hollywood Life, Givens revealed that she has not seen or heard from Pitt in years, though she did watch his performance in Quentin Tarantino’s latest flick, Once Upon A Time In Hollywood.
While things did not work out for Pitt and Givens, she went on to tie the knot with Mike Tyson. In his 2013 autobiography, Undisputed Truth, Tyson claimed that he caught Givens and Brad Pitt having an affair.
Givens has since disputed these claims and said that the affair never happened. Givens and Tyson split in 1989. She went on to enjoy a heated romance with Svetozar Marinkovic in the late 1990s, though their marriage only lasted one year.
Brad Pitt has not commented on Givens’ recent remarks about their relationship.
