Cursor Moving Erratically After Coming Back from Suspend Mode

I recently installed Ubuntu on my laptop. Previously I had Windows and this issue didn't occur there.

Everytime I come back from suspend mode, the cursor moves erratically and clicks happen all the time. I must fully restart my computer in order for this behavior to stop.

I have a touchpad, and I don't wish to disable with xinput because it's the only "mouse" I use on this laptop.

What is causing the issue? How do I analyze it? And how do I fix it?
