She is ambitious
The first step for her success was to be aware that she wanted more in life. Although her family was happy, she knew that she wanted something else and have different experiences. She didn't settle and followed her dreams.
"If I didn’t have certain ambitions, I might have gotten married after high school and had kids and decided to get a job at a bank in Castle Hill, like my aunt did,” she said during an interview with InStyle. “It’s just that I had dreams and ideas that were different.”
She is confident
JLo became a familiar face when she was a Fly Girl on In Living Colors. She became a singer and in 1997 she starred in the movie Selena. JLo is aware she is outstanding in whatever she does.
"When I first started, it was always a matter of 'Am I good? Am I good enough? Do I need to be better? What can I do to be better?' Now I know I'm really good at this. So I just want to do it," she told InStyle.
