The purpose of a door vent on a dishwasher is to let out excess hot air and steam during the drying cycle. These vents are typically mounted underneath the control panel in an out of the way place. If you need to remove the door vents on your dishwasher, you'll need to disassemble the control panel to reach it. You can do this with a minimal set of tools.
Step 1
Turn off the power supply for the dishwasher at the main circuit breaker. Either flip the switch to the "off" position in the breaker or remove the fuse as necessary to cut the power.
Step 2
Open the dishwasher door.
