I don’t agree or disagree with this question. Just keep a neutral status.
Why?
It is not just the PMP certificate that is rubbish, but also the Mandarin IIA, the English 4-6 certificate, the Computer National II, etc. These are all useless certificates. I didn’t have much use for my job search after I graduated. It’s not even the foundation for taking the job. I’m not sure I’m going to be able to get a job.
The company’s main business is to provide a wide range of products and services to the public.
The second thing is that you feel that this certificate is a bit similar to the diploma.
The second is the fact that you can find a lot of people who are interested in the same thing. The big companies use it as a doorstop.
Without the certificate you are not qualified. The opportunity is not yours. That is the reality.
Thirdly, you have to attend training institutes to take full credits.
Because the PMP was introduced from abroad, the conditions of application include the need to have 35 professional development units and credits. That is, you have to attend the training institute’s training.
The training will cost money, which is around USD 315.95. In total, it will cost you about USD 947.85 to USD 1105.83. For the normal person, this could be a month or two’s salary. And a lot of time and effort has to be spent preparing for the exam. In the end, it will only be a certificate, and people will be angry.
But I don’t think so. It’s really right to think in this way. It can seem as a bit quick and easy. I think you can ask yourself what you have gained after learning PMBOOK and whether it will help you in your work.
If it does, the certificate itself is actually the icing on the cake. It looks better. If it doesn’t, then the certificate is really just a piece of paper. A piece of paper is used to bid on and conduct interviews. According to my observation, I found that most of the people who took the PMP exam were trying to get a certificate to change careers or get a raise. As for whether they really have mastered it or not, it is hard to say.
The PMP certificate doesn’t work if you say so, nor does it work if I say so. Although I am neutral. It only works if society says so.
