Matthew James Matheson, born on February 7, 1982, is a Canadian chef, restaurateur, actor, and internet personality. He used to be the head chef at Parts & Labour, a restaurant in Toronto that shut down on January 1, 2019. 

After that, he launched Matty’s Patty’s Burger Club, a takeout spot in Toronto, which opened in December 2020. In April 2022, he also started Prime Seafood Palace, another restaurant in Toronto. Matheson was a regular face on Vice’s show Munchies and previously hosted shows like It’s Suppertime! and Dead Set on Life on Viceland.

Matheson had struggles with substance abuse, starting with trying cocaine in 11th grade. His regular use led to a heart attack at 29 years old. After this health scare, he decided to stop using drugs and alcohol by the end of 2013. Just seven months after getting sober, Matheson filmed his first episode of Keep It Canada.
