Lisa Wiehoff Biography
Randall David Johnson, also known as “The Big Unit,” is a former Major League Baseball pitcher who represented six clubs over 22 seasons (1988–2009), including the Seattle Mariners and Arizona Diamondbacks. He was the tallest player in MLB history when he first joined the league at 6 feet 10 inches. With 303 victories in his career, Johnson has the fifth-most victories of any left-handed pitcher in MLB history. Johnson leads all left-handed pitchers with 4,875 strikeouts. On his plaque, he is the first inductee who is shown wearing a Diamondbacks uniform. He made his professional baseball retirement known on January 5, 2010. Johnson has worked as a photographer after giving up his baseball career.
