Spotify Wrapped 2023 is finally here (November 29th) and lots of people are wondering how many minutes there are in a year after seeing their stats. The much-loved annual feature lets Spotify users see which songs, artists, albums and genres they’ve listened to most over the last 12 months. Spotify produces these stats based on your listening habits and compiles them all into one handy highlight reel that you can share online. The streaming service also tells you how many minutes you’ve spent listening to music on Spotify, and for lots of people that number is in the thousands.
How many minutes are there in a year?
- There are 525,600 minutes in a year.
So, if you’ve spent 262,800 minutes listening to Spotify, that’s half of the year. Or, 131,400 minutes would be a quarter.
105,120 would be one fifth of the year, 87,600 would be one whole sixth of the year and 75,085 would be one seventh.
Number of minutes in a day, week and month
People are sharing the number of minutes they spent listening to Spotify on Twitter and some people are reaching close to a year – which is very impressive!
However, whilst some seem to have spent the whole year with music on in the background, that is only a small number of people around the world.
