Does it really matter who is? THE BAT projects his rest of season rates at: 7.82 K/9, 2.78 BB/9, 1.27 HR/9. His control is good and the power prevention should be fine, but we’re not playing him in showdown.
Quick Breakdown: Even if he pitches well, he won’t compile the innings to get the Ks we need.

I don’t love paying up for pitcher in showdown, but might be an exception. He’s an elite pitcher against RHPs and has been for most of his career. The Twins do have some lefties after the top-two bats that can hurt him enough.
Quick Breakdown: Playing a pitcher in showdown requires a perfect combination of salary, ownership, and projection for me. Not fully seeing it here because it is a high price to pay, but Lynn has the overall skill to make him worth it, as he can get up to seven innings for the complete game. I hit a wall with his vulnerability against lefties and the extremely wide range of outcomes with his Ks. He can strike out two as fast as he can strike out 12.

All of the lefties. Since 2019, Lynn has been extra great because he’s only given up 0.75 HR/9 to lefties, which is a great reason to play him. But the longer history suggests there are, yeah, vulnerabilities. The stack is dangerous because Lynn is really good and rarely gets blown up, while the Sox bullpen is great, but and have double-digit barrel rates and are underpriced.
Optimal Plays – All of the lefties

This is a play everyone spot. Especially the supercheap double-digit barrel rates of Andrew Vaughn, , and . , like Burger, has a huge barrel rate over a small sample. They allow us to get in pretty easily. And after that, with a Twins lefty or two, then I could consider the Lynn play over paying up to Tim Anderson or .
