The Biography of Maria Ivanovna Shelomova
Maria Ivanovna Shelomova was born on October 17, 1911. She is from the Tver province in Zerechye, Russia. Maria grew up alongside her four brothers in the Turginosky district.
She got married at the age of seventeen to Vladimir Spiridonovich Putin in a union blessed by her parents. The pair were blessed with three children: Vladimir Putin, Albert Putin, and Maria. However, she lost two of them to the cold hands of death during the siege of Leningrad by Nazi Germany’s forces.
From what we gathered, Maria Ivanovna Shelomova was a Norma factory worker while her husband was a conscript in the Soviet Navy, serving in the submarine fleet. Also, he was a member of the NKVD’s annihilation brigade during World War II.
After sustaining serious injuries in 1942, he was sent to serve in the regular army. Spiridonovich Putin died on the 2nd of August 1999. The circumstances of his death were not revealed but we can confirm he died barely a year after his wife Maria who died of cancer in July 1998.

The alleged mother of Putin was born on September 6, 1926, in a village near Ochyor, a small Russian town. She worked as a mechanic and agricultural machinery operator after 8 years of training. Vera then started advanced training which she completed in Tashkent.
During her period of training in her hometown, Vera met Paton Privalov and the pair started a relationship. When she became pregnant, she learned that Paton had been married all along. News of his official wife left her heartbroken as she returned to stay with her parents.
Vera birthed a boy child on October 7, 1950, and named him Vladimir but fondly called Vova. She never disclosed the identity of his father to him as she nursed hatred for Paton. Vera Putina later married Georgy Osepashvili, a Georgian man who was fulfilling his military duty near the dormitory she was staying in during her training at Tashkent.
Vera Claims She Gave Putin up for Adoption When He Was Nine Years Old
She settled in Metekhi village of Georgia with her husband and brought her illegitimate son to leave with them as he was staying with her parents at that time. Vladimir wasn’t accepted by her husband Georgy as they were poor at that time and couldn’t take on an extra mouth to feed.
Several heated arguments kept arising between the couple and she couldn’t put up with it anymore. So when Vladimir was nine years old, Vera Putina gave him to her grandparents who gave him up for adoption.
His foster parents were distant relatives of Vera’s parents who were childless: Vladimir Spiridonovich Putin and Maria Ivanovna Putina. The couple moved to what was then Leningrad where he was registered with new authorities and given a new birth certificate with October 7, 1952, as his date of birth.
