Aziza and Mike were featured on the first season of the reality Tv series on TLC ’90 Day Fiance’. The show is about couples who applied for or received k-1 visa which was only available to to-be spouses of citizens of the United States from other countries and are given 90 days to plan their wedding and get married.
The show made its debut on the 12th of January 2014 and has been a huge success through 8 seasons. The series success has seen it producing 16 spin-offs bordering around couples and their big day.
About Aziza And Mike
31-year-old Mike Eloshway from Cleveland, Ohio who was a technical support specialist met and fell in love with 21-year-old Aziza, a student from Volgograd, Russia on a Language Learning website.
Aziza and Mike were one of the original couples who were featured in the series’ first season and have been quite an outstanding couple to follow and watch.

1. Aziza And Mike’s Relationship Started On A Platonic Level
At the beginning of their relationship, Aziza and Mike had a ‘weird’ relationship. It seemed like Aziza was skeptical about being with Mike and she was mostly cold to him through the show. Aziza and Mike had issues with intimacy and affection and it stemmed mostly from Aziza with Mike on the receiving end, and this treatment was strange for a person planning on getting married.
2. Aziza Was Believed To Be Suffering From Anorexia
Fans speculated that Aziza had an eating disorder because she wasn’t eating well especially in public and she was looking very thin. This habit raised eyebrows amongst viewers who were following the show.
3. Viewers Thought Aziza And Mike Wouldn’t Last
It was thought that the relationship wouldn’t last long due to Aziza’s coldness towards Mike. She asked Mike not to sleep close to her and even set so many house rules viewers believed were ridiculous. As a result of this, most viewers believed that Aziza was only using Mike to get her work visa to the United States and did not really like him hence; they foresaw doom for the relationship.
Mike was put through a lot trying to prove his intentions for Aziza and his friends thought it was too much because Aziza was reciprocating with unfair treatment. However, the couple is one of the few with lasting relationships and marriage amongst a host of other couples who were on the show.
4. Aziza Had Trust Issues
Possibly because of the age gap between them, it seemed like most of Aziza’s coldness towards her fiancé was instigated by a lack of trust. She was jealous at a point after seeing Mike talk to another lady and it seemed this situation opened her eyes to the fact that she might lose him. She, however, started trying to act better after this.
5. Mike’s In-laws Couldn’t Make It To The Wedding
Aziza was left distraught when her parents couldn’t make it for her wedding after all plans had been put in place for the occasion. Her parents were in Russia and unfortunately, they couldn’t facilitate their coming over to the United States for the ceremony. Mike and Aziza however went to visit them in Russia.
6. Aziza And Mike Have Been Married For Close To A Decade
After so many speculations of an eventual breakup and divorce between the couple, they are still strong together, proving people wrong. Aziza and Mike have been married since October 2013 are on the verge of celebrating their 8th wedding anniversary in October 2021.
7. Their First Child Came After Years Of Marriage
Aziza and Mike welcomed their first baby named ‘Olivia Joan’ on the 14th of January 2019. The couple had decided during the show not to have kids until they were quite settled and they obviously kept to this as they welcomed their first child 6 years after getting married.
8. Life And Work After The Reality Show
The couple seems to have a life working smoothly and fine for them. Settling down and working while building a home is no easy work but luckily for this couple, things seem to be falling into place for them.
Mike works as a network analyst in ‘Hitachi Healthcare America’ while last hearing about Aziza’s profession, she got a job and was working in an optics lab.
The couple had their first vacation as a family of 3 in 2020. It was also their first time outside amidst the Covid 19 pandemic.
Their vacation was an overnight camping trip which they embarked on in their newly acquired RV. They were very excited about their vacation and they enjoyed it to the fullest.
10. Aziza Has A Huge Social Media Presence
The couple is not past their days of entertaining viewers and fans as people are still very eager to know what goes on in their lives and whatnot.
Although Mike doesn’t have a huge presence on social media, Aziza does and she is always happy to share their journies and moments with the public. On Instagram, she has about 70.5k followers.
