1930 Pierce-Arrow Model A Convertible – sold for $135,000. For a brief time in early automotive history the beautiful and powerful Pierce Arrow was the ultimate American luxury car, a status symbol almost without peer. The 1930 Model A bore the trademark fender-mounted headlights and kneeling “Archer” mascot, while its 365 CI inline-8 engine generated an impressive 132 horsepower.
