What is meant by next Friday?

When talking about days of the week, “This Friday” really means “The Friday of THIS week” (the current week) and “Next Friday” really means “The Friday of NEXT week” (the following week). We do this regardless of whether the day is in the past, or in the future.

What does next mean in days?

Next 6 days can mean very different things depending on which day you are currently at. If you are on a Sunday, which is usually considered the beginning of a week, then using the terms “this” and “next” are very simple, it simply means the current week or next week (1 week away).
