How to Make Morir Sonando

What is Morir Sonando made of?

Morir soñando (To die dreaming) is a popular beverage of the Dominican Republic which has made its way to other Caribbean and Latin American countries, usually made of orange juice, milk, cane sugar, and chopped ice. Sometimes vanilla extract is also added, or evaporated milk is used instead of regular milk.

Why is it called Morir Sonando?

In Spanish, morir soñando literally means “to die while dreaming”. It is quite a sweet morbid way to describe a cocktail. Also, this name derives from the relaxation state that one experiences when drinking it. The acidity of the orange juice is tempered by the presence of milk.
