Is there a needle in the FreeStyle Libre?
One side of this sensor contains a tiny needle that goes inside of your skin. This tiny little needle continually registers your blood-glucose levels, which are saved inside the sensor for up to eight hours.
How do you remove a CGM?
To remove your CGM, follow these steps:
- Remove the performance cover (if one is applied)
- Gently peel edges away from the skin as you would a band-aid. You can loosen a strongly adhering sensor by applying baby oil or vegetable oil for 5-10 minutes before removing it.
