How does getting a Costco membership work?
The standard membership is Gold Star, which comes with one primary household card and a second card for a qualifying person living at the same address. Your membership card grants you access to all of Costco’s 760-plus US warehouses as well as Costco gas stations.
Can I use my mom’s Costco card without her?
Basically, a Costco member can buy gift cards. Anybody with a Costco gift card can shop at Costco without having their own membership. So, you don’t use somebody else’s Costco card directly: they use their Costco card to buy you a gift card, and then you can use the gift card to shop at Costco.
