Wagatha Christie, the famous case between Coleen Rooney accused Rebekah Vardy is currently taking place in the high court. Vardy claimed she was 'betrayed' by her sick agent after she 'deliberately erased' WhatsApp chats in an attempt to 'destroy proof.
Rebekah Vardy is suing Coleen Rooney for libel in the "Wagatha Christie" trial, which is happening today in the High Court. In October 2019, Mrs. Rooney accused Mrs. Vardy of releasing "fake information" about her private life to the media.
She claimed to have conducted a months-long "sting operation" to identify the person responsible for sharing her personal information.

What is The Wagatha Christie Case?
In October 2019, Coleen Rooney accused Rebekah Vardy of leaking "false tales" about her personal life to the media. Mrs. Vardy disputes the allegations and has filed a libel suit against Mrs. Rooney.
The trial begins today in the High Court which is dubbed "Wags at War" since it will last seven days.
Mrs. Rooney, 36, and Mrs. Vardy, 40, are now successful brands in their own right. But their footballing husbands, Wayne Rooney, and Jamie Vardy made them famous first.
The wife of former England player Wayne publicly stated that her fellow footballer's wife shared three phony articles she had made on her personal Instagram account with The Sun tabloid.
The issue dates back to October 2019. Coleen Rooney suspected that someone was leaking information about her to The Sun newspaper and began an internet investigation to figure out who was to blame.
According to BBC, she spent months writing made-up stories on her own Instagram stories, limiting who could view them, and waiting to see whether they would appear in The Sun.

Then, in a long Tweet, she claimed that "I barred everyone from watching my Instagram stories except One Account." "It's Rebekah Vardy's account."
However, Mrs. Vardy vehemently denied being the source of the leak, phoning Mrs. Rooney to plead her innocence and publishing her defense on social media. Within half an hour she post claiming that a lot of others had access to her accounts.
Mrs. Vardy decided to sue Mrs. Rooney for libel in June 2020 after receiving no public apology from her.

Moreover, 'Mrs. Vardy's own expert sees this turn of circumstance as somewhat shocking." He added about the destruction of all media files and WhatsApp communications on Rebekah's phone.
'According to our expert, there can only be one reason.' Mrs. Vardy was the one who deleted them on purpose. Only if you're guilty or trying to hide damning evidence would you erase them.'
