Create 3D reconstructions at the ultrastructural level.

Thanks to a successful BBSRC bid we can now offer serial block face imaging with the Zeiss Sigma Scanning Electron Microscope (FEGSEM) incorporating the Gatan 3view. (SBF-SEM)

Data from SBF-SEM can be organised into a stack of images. By segmenting out an area of interest, in each image in the stack, you can then generate a 3D model.

Specialist software can be used to display and edit the 3D representation of your data.

In EMRS we offer training on 3D reconstruction and biological image analysis and the related software.
