We established the Human Nutrition Research Centre (HNRC) in 1994. It is a multi-disciplinary, cross-faculty research centre.

Addressing major public health challenges

The HNRC focuses on major public health challenges, including:

  • obesity
  • ageing

Its goal is to undertake research that will underpin healthier dietary choices.

Prof. John Mathers of Newcastle University is the director of the HNRC.
