On February 26, 2022, our beloved Mother, Daughter, Sister, Aunt and Friend, Jennifer Elizabeth Mitchell went home to be with the Lord. She was born October 25, 1965 to the late Columbus Harris, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Harris-Cameron of Norfolk County. She attended Mount Carmel Baptist Church in Portsmouth, VA with Pastor Elbert T. Knight for over 20 years leading her walk with the Lord.

She attended and graduated ODU job Corp in the early 80’s leading to her career in the Shipbuilding Industry, which expanded for over 25 years, including Fabrication, Sheet Metal and Painting. Along the way she created countless friendships and comical memories throughout her career. She loved to laugh and have a good time, always was free-spirited even up to the hour of her departure.

Jennifer is predeceased by her Brothers, Melvin L. Harris, of Portsmouth, VA, Anthony L. Cameron, of Norfolk County, her Mother, Mary Elizabeth Harris-Cameron and Father, Columbus Harris, both of Norfolk County.

She leaves behind her Children, Shaquita A. Harris, Denita Harris and Rashad Harris; her Sister, Loretta Harris; her Brothers, Columbus Harris, Jr. and John F. Harris; seven Grandchildren, Shavonte’ Shamiah Harris, Henry Alphonzo Wright, Jr., Sincere Amore’ Harris, Quincy Karter Kee, Omar Harris, Deniya Harris and Alalia Bryant; one Great-Grandchild, Journi Headen and a handful of Cousins and other relatives.
