Chris Noth made his acting debut in 1981. The same year, he appeared as a guard in the movie, Cutter's Way. He also played the minor role of Prostitute in the 1982 movie, Smithereens. He played the lead role in the low-budget movie 1988 movie, Peluru dan Wanita. His breakthrough role came in 1990 after he began starring in the role of Mike Logan in the television series, Law & Order.
