Sara Waisglass was born on July 3, 1998, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and she was raised there by their parents who are big fans of former Degrassi actress Sara Ballingall. They have named their daughter after her.

The names of her father and mother are Jeff Waisglass and Tess Waisglass respectively. She has one sibling, sister Carly Waisglass.

She is of Canadian nationality and belongs to white ethnicity.

Sara is a student at York University in Toronto. She entered her second year in the highly coveted screenwriting program.

Sara had been watching Degrassi since her childhood and she had always a dream to enter the show. She eventually auditioned for the MTV hit series and got selected in 2014.
