Susan Tedeschi Biography

A native of Boston, Massachusetts, Susan Tedeschi was born on the to an Italian ancestry family. Her father, Dick Tedeschi runs “Tedeschi Food Shops”  in Rockland, Massachusetts, which was founded by her great-grandfather, Angelo Tedeschi where her grandfather, Nick Tedeschi also served.

Susan grew up in Norwell, Massachusetts. At the age of six, she made her public appearance in a Broadway musical. In her youth, she sang for her family and often used to listen to her father’s collection of old vinyl recordings of musicians such as Lightning Hopkins and Mississippi John Hurt.

Educational Qualification 

Raised as a Catholic, Tedeschi was also inspired by the church choir. At her 18, she originally formed a group, the Smokin’s Selection. Upon graduation from Norwell High School, she enrolled at the Berklee College of Music where she sang in a Gospel Choir.

At the age of 20, Susan earned a Bachelor of Music degree in musical composition and performance. At the time, she started sitting in on blues jams at local venues, as well as immersing herself in the Boston music scene.

Relationship Details - Susan  Tedeschi's Husband Is Derek Trucks

In the 1999 summer Tour, Susan met her boyfriend Allman Brother Band's guitarist Derek Trucks with whom she fell in love and soon began dating. After dating for years, both decided to take their relationship to the next level and tied the knot. The couple gave birth to two children: Charles Khalil Trucks and Sophia Naima Trucks.
