This year I notice more students suffering form anxiety and depression. They lack self confidence and constantly worry about what others think of them.
I believe COVID-19 separated them from peers and normally occurring social exposure which has impacted their ability to cope with everyday stressors.
I would like to give my students the opportunity to try different strategies (seating to help promote calmness, fidgets, Theraputty, and mindful activities) to help them work through feelings of anxiety, and build their "toolbox" of self calming and strategies so they can succeed in all situations.
