As spotted by Kurakasis on X, the Taiwanese Digital Game Self-regulation Committee rated The Division Heartland for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5, and PC on November 14. The board has given it a PG-15 rating for its use of "violence, inappropriate language, and anti-society" themes, and while a release date wasn't included in the details, it does look like Ubisoft could nearly be finished.
Kurakasis suggests that the Taiwanese rating board usually rates games when they're only a few months away from launching, which means we could be playing The Division Heartland sometime in early 2024. However, it is worth noting that the board rated Silent Hill: The Short Message last year and we're yet to hear of an announcement. It's also possible that Heartland could still end up being delayed, as has happened with a number of Ubisoft games recently.
The Division Heartland is a free-to-play extraction shooter featuring PvEvP gameplay, and is a spin-off in the mainline Division universe. Playing as a Division agent, you're tasked with securing a small town after the green poison is released across the world. We got a good look at the game during a 40-minute gameplay showcase earlier this year, but Ubisoft has yet to give us a release date.
With The Game Awards just around the corner, we're hoping to get some more information about the game — it will be interesting to see if The Division Heartland makes it onto our list of the best free Xbox games!
