Raised in the Sursum Corda housing project in Southeast Washington, Ant had a rough start in life.
While his mom, Barbara, was preparing for the birth of her second son, Glizzy’s dad was shot and killed a few blocks from home.
He was only 19.
The young father left behind two sons—Ant and Marquis.
Marquis—who is only 9 months older than Ant—is better known as the Grammy-nominated rapper Shy Glizzy.
