He grew up in a religious Christian family, attending church up to four times a week.
His family was against him listening to rap music until he was a teenager, where he began to listen to artists like DMX and Kanye West.

Standing at 6”5 and with a penchant for basketball, he received a full scholarship to Goldey-Beacom College in Delaware, following a stint at community college.
He grew up in Newburgh, which is classed as one of the most dangerous cities in New York.
He learned how to play basketball on a street court in his neighborhood.
He trained throughout school to achieve this and racked up good numbers during his collegiate basketball career, qualifying for the NBA draft in 2013.
However, he quit midway through his junior year, deciding that his future in basketball was limited.
