Sofie has an older brother named Zac, who works as a music producer in California. “I have played piano since we [Sofie and her brother] were super young,” Sofie said.

It sparked her interest and led her to get involved in gymnastics—which she would do competitively for the next decade of her life—as well as dance.
What she wasn’t learning in gymnastics classes, she was teaching herself, but she credits gymnastics with helping her build a foundation of strength and flexibility.
In an interview, Dossi explained that she was always flexible.
“Like, I’d watch TV with feet over my head.”
She fell in love with contortion.
She also credits her parents with teaching her the discipline to practice at home when she didn’t feel like it and for giving Sofie her first real audience.
That real audience was her family and friends at big celebrations.
Within a year of starting gymnastics, she was entertaining in front of a crowd, and that’s how she got her first big break—she caught the eye of an entertainment company that would go on to hire her for big events.
Dossi said in an NBC interview that her goal was to give audiences something they had never seen before.
