On the evening of June 27, at approximately 7:21 p.m., a one-car crash was reported on Highway 42 north of Seaquist Road. Eric Rutowski, a 54-year-old resident of Franklin, was operating a 2021 Taizhou Zhongneng Wolf RX-50 moped when he tragically lost control of the vehicle. The preliminary investigation indicates that Eric Rutowski was heading southbound on Highway 42 when he entered the west ditch, was ejected from the moped, and collided with a culvert pipe.
