1. Luffy follows his own path

When compared to Naruto, Luffy will undoubtedly stand out. He follows the traditional shonen model but on his own terms. Unlike Naruto, Luffy is not bound by any village rules or his goal. He wants to be free and that’s why he wants to become the king of the pirates. Naruto’s goal is to become the most powerful person in his village so he can govern it and prosper it. Luffy is not bound by any such goals and is only focused on being free and roaming the seas with his crewmates.

2. Luffy is more True to himself

Both Luffy and Naruto, follow their own path to success and have done what they feel right. But in the case of Naruto, he has to face a lot of moral and ethical dilemmas that may limit his actions and thoughts to a certain direction. Luffy on the other hand is true to himself and does what he feels right. Naruto wants to be a good guy and serve his village, but Luffy doesn’t care about being a good guy. He just acts on what he feels is right and makes decisions accordingly.
