A surprise Metroid Dread update has been released today, with the patch notes confirming all the new modes and features available to enjoy on Nintendo Switch.
As part of today’s Nintendo Direct event, the Japanese games giant has decided to launch a special Metroid Dread update.
And unlike some of the most recent patches for the Nintendo Switch game, this one makes some big changes.
With new content for newcomers and veterans alike, Nintendo has decided to add a range of modes that help bring new players into the game and push those who have mastered it.
Time To Get Good
This includes the new Rookie Mode and Dread Mode, which are available to play after downloading today’s update. As the name suggests, Rookie Mode creates a more accessible difficulty for those just starting, making the game easier to start.
Nintendo’s Metroid Dread mode is an entirely different animal and is based on the rule that you must never take a hit from an enemy. If you do, your run is over, and you have to start from the beginning, making this the definitive Iron Man experience.
