Being one of the Top 3 Shonen manga and anime worldwide, One Piece has claimed its throne in the history of the weeb world.
Currently, the manga is following the Straw Hat Pirates’ adventures on Egghead Island. At the time of writing this article, the series is close to reaching 1050 chapters which is a milestone in and of itself.
The anime is adapting the Wano Country Arc, which is the longest arc in One Piece. Overall, the series is nowhere near its end. Yet fans are always haunted by a single question, when will One Piece end?
For some, the question is laced with genuine curiosity, but for others, it’s a dreadful countdown. Who would want to lose a series that they have grown up with? Nonetheless, everything comes to an end, and so will One Piece.
When Will One Piece Really End?
As of now, there has been no official announcement of when One Piece might end. Author Eiichiro Oda has envisioned the finale but has not confirmed a date for the ending. The most recent prediction regarding the manga’s end is around 2025, but given the mangaka’s history of elongating the story, it’s not to be trusted.
One Piece will end only after Luffy has discovered Gol D. Roger’s treasure, the titular One Piece. There are still many more mysteries that are yet to be uncovered; take the Void Century, for example.
While Oda is slowly unraveling the mysteries one by one, it will still take years before the 1000+ chapters can come together and make sense of the world and its state.
What Is One Piece’s Final Arc?
One Piece has entered its Final Saga, which will conclude its storyline. However, each saga is divided into several arcs, and the final one will be the same. The Egghead Arc is the first arc of the Final Saga of One Piece.
The Final Saga began with chapter 1058 of One Piece, and there’s no telling how long the manga will extend before it’s finally done.
