No Game No Life is an anime adaptation of Yū Kamiya’s light novel series. The series premiered back in April 2014. The first season came with 12 episodes and aired the last episode on 12th June of the same year. Despite having enough source material, the anime was not renewed for the second season to this date.
This fantasy Isekai anime is full of comedy with some ecchi elements as well. The plot revolves around two main characters who are online gamers. Sora and Shiro are two stepsiblings who dominate online games under the username “Blank.” The pair is notorious on the internet for their ruthless playing style. But both stepsiblings also see life as another dull game.
While responding to an unknown user, the pair were mysteriously transported to Disboard, another world overseen by Tet, the One True God.
It turns out that the unknown sender is none other than Tet. The duo’s aim changed when they met Stephanie Dola in this new world. That fateful meeting influenced Sora and Shiro to become the new rulers of the enigmatic realm.
The series did receive a prequel movie, No Game No Life: Zero, in 2017, but the studio still needs to give the green light for the second season. Since 2017, it has been more than five years, and fans have no update on the series’ future.
So, let us just find out if there is any possibility of No Game No Life Season 2 and when we can expect a sequel of the series.
No Game No Life Season 2 Cast
As there is no announcement on season 2 of No Game No Life, we cannot confirm the show’s voice acting cast if it returns. But like the majority of all anime, the original voice actors of Season 1 may return to return to reprise their roles for Season 2. The primary cast of the 1st season follows:

- Ai Kayano as Shiro
- Youko Hikasa as Stephanie Dola
- Yukari Tamura as Jibril
- Rie Kugimiya as Tet
This core voice acting cast even followed the 2017 film of this anime series, No Game No Life: Zero.

Some of the staff may be changed from the first season. These core staff stayed the same when the prequel movie came out in 2017.
