Robert F. Kennedy (1925-1968) was an American politician and lawyer. He was a United States Senator for New York from 1965 until his assassination in 1968. He is perhaps most remembered for his outspoken opposition to the Vietnam War and his civil rights advocacy. Kennedy was also a key figure in the historic Apollo 11 mission to the moon in 1969.
