Franklin D. Roosevelt was the 32nd President of the United States, serving from 1933 until his death in 1945. During his time in office, Roosevelt led the country through the Great Depression and the majority of World War II. He is best known for his series of New Deal programs to help revive the economy and the establishment of the Social Security System.
