Professional Background

Dr. Goertz graduated from Occidental College and attended medical school at the University of Kansas School of Medicine. He completed pediatric training and pediatric cardiology fellowship at the University of Kansas and joined the faculty in 1979 as an Instructor in Pediatrics, and then Assistant Professor in 1982.
He was promoted to Associate Professor in 1987. Dr. Goertz practices general pediatric cardiology and has interests in lipid disorders in pediatrics and dysautonomia.
