Professional Background

Dr. Lassen earned his PhD in Clinical Child Psychology from the University of Kansas. He completed his residency in Clinical Child Psychology and Pediatric Psychology at Harvard Medical School and a fellowship in Pediatric Psychology from the University of Washington School of Medicine. He joined the KUMC faculty in 2007 and currently holds the rank of Professor in the Department of Pediatrics and a joint appointment in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. Dr. Lassen’s research and clinical interests are in perinatal mental health, the effects of parental illness on children and chronic illness adaptation in children.
