Robert Wittler, MD, Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Kansas School of Medicine—Wichita,. He served in the army for 13 years, completing his residency at Letterman Army Medical Center in San Francisco, a pediatric infectious disease fellowship at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu and a research fellowship at Walter Reed Army Research Institute in Washington, DC. Board certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Infectious Disease. Dr. Wittler has been on the faculty at the University of Kansas School of Medicine—Wichita since 1995. Dr. Wittler has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals and has received several awards for his teaching including the Chancellor’s Distinguished Teaching Award and the Ruth Bohan Teaching Professorship from the University of Kansas. He is interested in all aspects of pediatric infectious diseases; particularly tularemia, rickettsial diseases, and prolonged or recurrent fever.
