Professional Background

I got my Ph.D. degree in Pathophysiology of Southern Medical University in 2022. During my Ph.D. training, I have investigated the relationship between acute liver diseases and gut microbiota.  Specifically, I investigated the role of gut barrier in acetaminophen induced acute liver failure. In Nov. 2022, I joined Dr. Wen-Xing Ding’s lab as a postdoc. While I am open to explore various projects in the Ding Lab focusing on autophagy-related proteins in liver diseases, I am interested in studying the potential synergistic role of alcohol consumption in acetaminophen hepatotoxicity and the underlying mechanisms. I am also characterizing the role of VMP1, an ER membrane protein, in metabolic changes in multiple different metabolic tissues in mice under the guidance of Drs Wen-Xing Ding and Hongmin Ni. Outside of the lab and science, I like doing some outdoor activities.
