Professional Background

I was raised in Fort Scott, Kansas, where I have deep roots. Living in a small town, I witnessed first-hand the health disparities experienced by rural Kansas. This, coupled with my interest in science, spurred me toward pre-med studies while at Pitt State. Following my undergrad, I volunteered with Dr. Thomas where she would eventually encourage me to apply for the Masters in Cancer Biology. I am grateful for the chance to move forward knowledge in the field of cancer. It is amazing to be part of a program where science meets hope.
